The best family ski area in the Alps! Once again, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis has been awarded top prize for 08/09 by the DSV and the ADAC automobile club atlas as the best ski area for families. The three villages on the alpine sun terrace in the Upper Inn Valley have evolved into one of the leading ski destinations of recent years. Besides a superbly organised, multi-faceted ski area with state-of-the-art cablecars and lifts, there are also beautifully managed ski kindergartens, convenient ski deposits and first-class service which earn plus-points for this winter resort high above the Inn River. Even for cross-country skiers, the sun-drenched terrace offers magnificent terrain. www.adac-skiguide.de |
| The young ones are treated downright royally in this family-friendly resort region. It begins in Serfaus with special family offers, continues with the Murmlibahn, a special cablecar only for ski school children, and reaches its zenith on the Kinderschneealm, just below the Komperdell. Our young guests are invariably treated with courtesy, friendliness and care. The tiny village of Ladis, with its farmhouses covered with frescoes and the Laudegg fortress, is considered an inexpensive, tranquil branch of the plateau. www.ski-online.de |

Serfaus/Fiss/Ladis is without doubt one of the most beautiful ski regions of the Austrian Alps. The ski area itself ranks well above the average in ALL evaluation categories; it has splendid attractions on offer for each level of ability, and every personal preference. Beginners are advised to choose Fiss, since an ideal ski beginners terrain is near the lower station. Advanced skiers have runs of 187 km available to them, a veritable ski paradise along mostly red-grade runs. And the pros usually head to Serfaus, where they find everything they seek. The entire region is family-friendly to the hilt, and there are more children’s attractions to be found per square meter here than anywhere in the Alps. Boarders, too, are enticed by two funparks, as well as a Boarder Club designed for boarding beginners. With offers that seem unending, Serfaus/Fiss/Ladis clearly numbers among the very best Tyrol has to offer. www.skigebiete-test.de |

Besides the ski area’s size, selection of ski runs, modernity of lifts, preparation of ski slopes and service, snow-guarantee and the après-ski offerings, the family-friendliness and the cost/benefit ratio were all assessed. www.snow-online.de |

The International Quality Seal for Ski Slope Quality was awarded for the very first time in 2006. Tyrol’s Skidimension Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis won 5.8 out of a possible 6 points, crowning it the big winner. Also in other disciplines, Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis cleaned up on prizes: the incomparable Skilounge was awarded “most popular mountain restaurant”. The best offers for children, the best sports shop of the year and the best check-in service were also awarded to Serfaus. |
| The big MQC-Award is won by Tyrol’s “Skidimension Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis” This check-up evaluated 36 core criteria, e.g. size of ski slopes, snow-guarantee, comfort of lifts and quality of meals in the many restaurants on the ski slopes. They carried out tests personally and also conducted a poll with more than 6,500 guests to hear the opinions of others. The results compared more than 70 ski areas throughout Austria, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. The MQC-Award" is not awarded to the best in the rankings, but rather a minimum of eight out of a possible ten points must be attained. In 2006, the magical borderline was again attained. Once again, Tyrol’s Skidimension Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis received the MQC-Award", the only region to do so besides Arosa, Switzerland. www.mountain-management.com |
