10 years of greater ski area: Serfaus & Fiss merge!
It was 10 years ago that the ski areas of Serfaus and Fiss merged to form an enlarged ski area. Without doubt, it has been a success story.
Yet it wouldn’t be Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis if on this 10th anniversary of the combination of these two ski areas to form “Tyrol’s Skidimension” it were merely an occasion for celebration.
Off we go, to the next rung of the ladder:
Now, between the two ski regions, an additional, far-ranging, superb ski area is being developed, complete with splendid ski runs.
Furthermore, an ultra-modern 6-seater chairlift (“Königsleithe”) is being NEWLY erected. The brand new 6-seater chairlift “Königsleithe” enables you to make faster, simpler connections from Serfaus to Fiss with ease. It is outfitted with weather domes, seat heating and a children’s safety system with automatic closing bars. It enables you to transfer between the two ski areas in utter comfort.
In addition, 12 km of NEW ski runs, fully serviced by snowmaking equipment, and - adjacent to the lower station at 1,650 meters altitude - a snuggly, rustic Tyrolean mountain hut “Leithe Wirt” WITH RESTAURANT TABLE SERVICE and a magnificent sun terrace, with a capacity of 390 seated diners including 200 on the partly covered sun-bathed terrace.
