Maria-Hilf-Kapelle in Tschuppbach

From earliest times there was a chapel in Tschuppbach including an offertory from which the money was used for the Serfaus parish church. In 1680 the chapel was in rather poor shape so Georg Zangerl, the owner of Tschuppbach built this Maria-Hilf-Chapel in 1681/1683 and was inaugurated in 1688. Above the door, two angels are holding a monstrance in a fresco. In the tympanum a clock is located whose inscription shows the year of construction 1683 and the years of restoration 1788 and 1975. On the north side brick-built stairs lead to a door that takes you to the gallery. On the east side a low vestry is located. Because of its artistic quality and equipment the chapel has been listed as protected monument since 1987. The richly carved superstructure of the altar (around 1685) is attributed eather to Martin Stämer or Klemens Sattler.
