Fisserjoch Tour 730

Level of difficulty: hard
Starting point: Bikepark SFL

Description: The demanding Fisserjoch Tour poses a real challenge in terms of endurance. For the descent from the Zwölferkopf ridge into the Urgtal valley you can either take the Emmerich-Pale trail or theAlmtrail(S1), Flüstertrail (S2) and then the Zirbentrail (S1).
Alternatively you can take on the challenging Frommestrail (S1) which also takes you back to Fiss.

From the starting point at the bike park, take the bike trail to the village entrance Fissmed medical centre and head left uphill to the cable car. From there, follow the asphalt bike trail in the direction of Möseralm and turn right at signpost F118 and continue on the gravel path in the direction of Kuhalm. From the Fisser Kuhalm go straight on and follow the trail as far as Steinegg/Schönjochbahn middle station (F215). From Steinegg, follow the bike trail climbing steadily up to the Fisserjoch ridge. That is the highest point of the tour. You can descend into the Urgtal valley either on the Emmerich-Pale Trail or the Flüstertrail (S2) and the Zirbentrail (S1) as far as the Schöngampalm. From there it’s an easy ride on a good bike trail in the direction of Fiss and on through the village back to the bike park.

TIP:
The other way round, the Schönjoch Tour is called the Fisserjoch Tour. It leads via Falterjoch and Schönegg to the Schöngampalm. It leads via the Falterjoch and Schönegg to the Schöngampalm. The trail follows the well-developed Emmerich-Pale trail up to the Fisser Joch ridge. There’s an altitude gain of 500 metres, but with a manageable gradient of about 12%. You can descend either via the gravel path following the cable car or via the Frommestrail (S2-S4) back to Fiss.
