Weather report

The general weather pattern over Europe, which has been practically cemented in place for weeks, will dissipate over the course of this week. The blocking weather pattern of recent weeks, which has hardly allowed any Atlantic fronts to reach us, will give way to a much more varied western weather pattern. We will already see the first signs of this on Tuesday. The southerly foehn will pick up in the mountains, accompanied by some harmless, high clouds. These are the harbingers of a cold front, which will bring showery weather on Wednesday morning and into the afternoon. With strong westerly winds, precipitation will be concentrated in the western foothills of the mountains, with the snow line fluctuating between 1500 meters and 1800 meters above sea level. The weather will continue to be very changeable on Thursday. With a mix of sun and clouds, there may also be one or another occasional shower. The location of the snow line will remain largely unchanged. It is not until Friday that colder air will begin to seep in. However, isolated snow showers down to low-lying valleys are not expected until Saturday.
