Weather report

The Alps are located at the front of an Atlantic low in a mild southwesterly flow with foehn winds. As a high-pressure system over Russia is holding it back, Atlantic disturbances cannot reach us for the moment. These are being deflected northward. This means that the calm and dry weather will continue in our region. Thursday and Friday will continue to be quite sunny. At the same time, it will be temporarily cooler in the mountains. However, the frost line will rise above 2000 meters above sea level again over the weekend with a slight revival of the south foehn. This widespread warming will be accompanied by extensive cloud fields, which are likely to cause consistently cloudy weather, especially on Sunday. There will be little change in the mild, foehn-like and somewhat changeable weather conditions at the beginning of next week.
