S’Paules & s‘Seppls Haus – Dorfmuseum Fiss

The stately Oberinntaler farmhouse dominates the old town center of the 1000-inhabitant community of Fiss with its large arched entrance, tiny windows, and artistically decorated roof structure.
Like many farms in this region, it shared the fate of the division of property until the very end when the farm was abandoned a few decades ago.
Through careful interventions, the architecture team “HG MERZ from Stuttgart (Mercedes Benz Museum)” created a “new” museum that documents both the very varied architectural history of the house and the life of its residents.
