New Planseggbahn construction

Current information on the construction site and trail network

As part of the construction of the new Planseggbahn, there will be local diversions and trail closures in the Komperdell/Plansegg area during the 2026 summer season. Please follow the current signage and route guidance on site.

Please also note that pasture areas within the construction site area must not be entered.

This summer, the Quellenweg trail is not suitable for pushchairs or small children. This is due to increased construction activity and construction traffic on the final section of the trail.

Serfaus Beginners' Bike Park

at the Komperdell valley station

Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis already offers over 200 km of cycle trails covering all levels of difficulty. The range of facilities has now been expanded once again for this summer: a second beginners’ park, complete with a conveyor belt, three trails and pump tracks, has been created at the Komperdell valley station. This means that beginners – both children and adults – can get started with trail cycling right there on the spot.

The range of facilities is complemented by a bike shop and the Sport Patscheider hire service. Bike courses can still be booked at the Waldbahn, but a new option is that you can now also start in Serfaus.

Georama round walk Lazid

Marnle fun with panoramic view

The new Georama Lazid circular trail in Serfaus is a themed trail around 1.5 km long, suitable for pushchairs and perfect for the whole family. It starts at the Lassida restaurant.

Along the way, there are interactive stations featuring marble runs, fascinating insights into the geology of the Alps and stunning views. Marbles are available right at the start.

The trail leads to the Lawensbahn mountain station and back – the highlight is the large globe at the end. Ideal for families, nature lovers and anyone who wants to combine learning with fun.

New play area at the Fiss Ski Depot

The children’s play area at the Fiss ski depot is being refurbished and expanded! The newly designed area offers even more space for playing and exploring. The highlight is the new iWall, which combines exercise and play in an interactive way – for even more fun in the summer.

New pump track in Ladis

The pump track at the Sonnenbahn valley station in Ladis offers a variety of fun riding experiences for children. Two differently designed routes encourage children to improve their riding technique in a playful way and enjoy their first cycling adventures. It’s the ideal place for exercise, developing skills and having lots of fun.

Berta´s Castle Playground in Ladis

At Berta’s Castle Playground in Ladis, little knights and damsels can enjoy plenty of fun and games. Two interconnected knight’s towers, complete with slides, swings, climbing frames and a suspension bridge, invite children to explore and let off steam. For the youngest visitors, there is a play kitchen and a separate squire’s house with a small slide – ideal for imaginative play.

A heart for special moments

The heart-shaped photo spot at the Wonnealm provides the perfect backdrop for unforgettable souvenir photos. Nestled within the impressive mountain landscape, it’s the ideal spot for capturing special snapshots with a magnificent panoramic view. A lovely place to pause for a moment and enjoy the view.

The Wonnealm is open daily from 6 July.

Winter 2026/27

We’ll keep you up to date this winter too. Look forward to the latest information, seasonal topics and exciting news.

Planseggbahn NEW

The Planseggbahn, which has been in operation since 1997, will be replaced from winter 2026/27 by a modern 8-seater chairlift manufactured by Leitner. On peak days, up to 17,000 visitors use this heavily frequented facility. With an investment of around 30 million euros, Seilbahn Komperdell GmbH is focusing on improved quality and comfort.

The new lift features heated seats, weather protection hoods with an automatic closing mechanism, and a child-safe safety bar. The capacity will increase from 3,000 to 4,000 passengers per hour, whilst the speed will be raised to 6 m/s, reducing the journey time to under 5 minutes. A total of 91 chairs are in operation, and a display chair is already on show at the Komperdell valley station.

The autonomous mountain station, which is monitored by the system, is particularly innovative. Despite this technology, a member of staff will still be on site to ensure the usual level of service.

New photo point

at Alpkopf

Starting this coming winter season, visitors to Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis will have access to another photo point. An oversized triangle, serving as an impressive photo backdrop, is being installed right next to the Alpkopf lift’s top station. The stunning mountain panorama provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable souve-nir photo. Free Wi-Fi in the area also makes it easy to share this fantastic holiday experience with friends and family right away. Children, in particular, will be delighted by this new photo point—after all, Murmli and his friends are part of the picture too!

Expansion

of the snowmaking system

For the upcoming winter season, Serfaus is once again investing heavily in the modernization of its snow-making system. The systems are being expanded and optimized in several areas of the ski area (including the Lawensabfahrt, Peischlkopfabfahrt, Böderkopfabfahrt, Lazid Nord Abfahrt, Plansegg-Direkt and along the toboggan run).

With the completion of the Hög pumping station and the addition of 35 propeller snow generators, the snowmaking system will become even more efficient. This will ensure the best possible conditions for a snow-sure winter season, perfectly groomed slopes, and carefree skiing in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis.

Murmlis "Familienpiste"

A fantastic highlight for young skiers is Murmlis “Familienpiste." Starting at the bottom of the “Gampenab-fahrt”, it follows the “Mittelabfahrt” towards the Komperdellbahn mid station – varied, family-friendly, and full of fun. Along the way, Murmli and his friends Fiona, Ingo, and Bruno accompany the children. Partly along the “Mittelabfahrt”, partly through the woods in the area of the former animal park – every run be-comes a little adventure. As a grand finale, a special photo point awaits: Here, families can take a great souvenir photo with Murmli and his friends.

Murmlis Kinderalm

For decades, the popular Kinderschneealm at Komperdell has been the perfect place for children to take their first turns on the snow. Ahead of the coming winter season, this popular area is being redesigned, modernised and lovingly developed further – the Kinderschneealm is becoming Murmli’s Kinderalm. Together with Murmli and his friends Fiona, Bruno and Ingo, young beginners will discover the world of skiing through play. The conveyor belts will be themed to match, making the introduction to winter sports even more exciting. The result is a lovingly designed practice area that builds on tried-and-tested elements and combines them with new ideas – for unforgettable first days of skiing in Serfaus.

Komperdell Panorama Restaurant

Refurbishment and modernisation

More space, more enjoyment, more panoramic views: The Komperdell Panoramic Restaurant is undergo-ing a complete renovation for the 2026/27 winter season, resulting in a more spacious, modern, and invit-ing atmosphere. Guests can look forward to expanded seating capacity, a new espresso bar for the perfect break and an optimized free-flow area for even greater comfort. The ideal meeting place in the heart of the ski area, perfectly combining culinary delights, breathtaking views, and a contemporary ambiance.

Panorama bar Gampenbar

An additional dining option (similar to an outdoor bar) is being built at the Planseggbahn valley station. The bar will be partially covered, with the option to open the canopy on sunny days. There will be around 90 seats inside, with a further 150 on the sun terrace. The bar offers a great opportunity for a quick stop for refreshments between runs.
