As low-pressure systems are continuing to linger over the Mediterranean region and affecting the Alpine region on the periphery, surprises in weather developments are still possible throughout the coming week. But for now, the weather is calming down again. At the beginning of the new week, there will only be a slight disturbance, with the last of the light snowfall mainly affecting the northern edge of the Alps. In addition, it has temporarily become wintry cold again. On Tuesday, however, temperatures will rise significantly again with the revival of the south foehn. At the same time, extensive cloud fields will move in from the southwest, blocking the sun. On Wednesday, the foehn will die down, and, with heavy cloud cover, there will be some fresh snow above 1100 meters above sea level. On Thursday and Friday, the foehn-like southerly wind will return. At the same time, more cloud fields will pass over us. The sun will occasionally shine for longer periods, but precipitation will remain the exception.
