We will remain under high pressure until the middle of the week, and the flawless weather will continue. Both Tuesday and Wednesday will spoil us once again with bright sunshine and mostly cloudless skies from dawn till dusk. There will continue to be very severe morning frost, and temperatures will remain well below freezing during the day. With the wind shifting to the west, the cold spell will come to an end on Thursday. At the same time, the weather will become more changeable and unstable. This will increase the chances of precipitation. However, on Friday in particular, a warm front will temporarily bring mild Atlantic air into the weather system, causing the snow line to rise to 1500 meters above sea level. It remains to be seen how quickly the cold air can actually be cleared away. In addition, we will quickly have to deal with the next cold front and significantly colder air again at the weekend.
