Weather report

A high-pressure system is now moving in from the Atlantic across Central Europe, bringing a marked improvement in the weather over the coming days and putting an end to the influx of cold air from the north. For the time being, however, we are still dealing with a very brisk and relatively cold north-easterly wind, which continues to cause some persistent, high-fog-like residual cloud cover, particularly over the valleys. In the mountains, we are already seeing somewhat more pleasant weather conditions, although the clouds will generally become a little thicker again on Thursday evening. Consequently, we will start Friday with widespread, thicker and partly lower-lying residual clouds. However, these will soon thin out or largely dissipate in the course of the afternoon. On Saturday, too, we will start the day with heavier cloud cover once again. During the day, the sun will once again come into its own. In addition, there will be a noticeable rise in temperature at all altitudes. This trend will continue into Easter Sunday, with the frost line rising to around 3000 meters above sea level. On Easter Monday, spring will hold its ground, both in terms of temperatures and the amount of sunshine.
