The programme Adventure Mountains
Thomas Brezina’s Adventure Mountains in Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis are an innovative programme giving children a completely new view on mountains, nature and the environment. Thomas Brezina, an Austrian television presenter and author of children's and young adult literature, created the adventure stories for children of different age groups.
Participants first collect their “Adventure Rucksack”, containing magnifier, binoculars, pen and other useful kit. So they start their expedition. Pick up an “Adventure Rucksack” at any of the three tourist offices, at the cable car ticket offices or from your accommodation provider and then you are all set to go! Deposit of € 30.00 is payable on the rucksack. Children are rewarded with a certificate and their names are entered into the big adventure book.
At the ITB 2007 in Berlin the idea of the “Adventure Mountains” has been rewarded by the Juries of Travel-Journalists and tour operators with the award “Best of Austria 2007” and with the category award
“Outdoor & Hiking”.
The Adventure Mountains will be modernized in 2017. There are new surprises at the Witches' Trail and the Explorer's Trail. New will be a pirate adventure in the mountains.
