The fireworks company owned by Claire and Roland von Bergen is on the brink of financial ruin. Their shopping addiction and his gambling habit contribute significantly to their troubles. A solution is urgently needed.

Claire devises a murderous plan. During the ski holidays, she intends to kill her husband in an accident to collect on the life insurance money. However, the loyal and attentive maid Elisa sees through the intentions and foils one murder attempt after another. Until she realizes that Roland had the same idea and is also trying to send his wife to the other side. Now, Elisa is fighting on two fronts – and she herself gets caught in the crossfire.
