Tasks and responsibilities
As a Chef de Rang, you are responsible for the professional service and advice of our guests in the restaurant. You manage your own service station, coordinate the smooth operation of the service, and ensure a first-class dining experience.
Tasks
- Professional and warm guest service at a high level
- Independent management of a service station
- Taking orders and professionally serving food and drinks
- Ensuring a smooth process within the area of responsibility
- Guidance and support for commis de rang and interns
- Control of the mise en place and ensuring cleanliness and order
- Advising guests on food and wine selection
- Complaint management in close cooperation with the restaurant manager
- Compliance with hygiene standards according to HACCP
Qualifications
- Completed training in the hotel or catering industry
- Several years of professional experience in the upscale service sector
- Well-groomed, professional appearance and excellent manners
- Excellent communication skills and enjoyment of guest interaction
- Resilience, sense of responsibility and team spirit
- Good English skills, additional languages an advantage
- Wine knowledge and enthusiasm for culinary arts
